Oil on Timber Panels. 60cm wide by 80cm high

In the epic landscape of the Sydney Harbour Heads I found this tiny new Banksia glowing in the early morning light. On looking closer I realised it was not a new tree but regrowth of an extremely old tree which had been brought to the ground by fire. In on moment there was all the stages of the trees growth from death to rebirth, each one a testament to renewal.
