Noni Ruker Artist’s Bio
From an early age I drew. My first drawings were of the traditional South African houses called rondavels, little round houses with thatched roofs. I also drew animals such as seals and horses.
I went on to study art and then architecture and I have had a successful career as an urban designer in Sydney. Since attending City Art Institute in Sydney I have kept up a practice of painting landscapes, particularly seascapes and still life such as shells with wate rcolours, gouache and now I paint mainly in oils.
